We liked this place the first year we stayed there. We loved this place after all the inside improvements were made!We have been coming to Ocracoke for over fifty years with our family. It started with the two of us and two small sons.It now includes the two sons, six grandkids, four of their spouses, twin great grandkids, and my wife's sister.Ocracoke is our yearly destination and Last Cast is our second home! My wife and I have enjoyed this place the past two years. But we were blown away with ALL the upgrades and remodeling done. The place went from comfortable to WOW! We demanded that all our family traveling with us to come by and see all the upgrades. They also were very impressed! Excellently appointed property!!! The owners clearly put much thoughtfulness and love into sharing their special place with renters. Everything surpassed our expectations. The kitchen is AMAZINGLY well stocked. Truly the best I've ever encountered anywhere, hands down! The furniture was so comfortable. We slept well!! Wonderful AC. Enjoyed the living room area and porches too. So nice to have great laundry appliances during our two-week stay! Plenty of storage for our stuff and our groceries. The storage and counter space here was carefully planned ahead! Welcoming and practical = perfect combo. Decor was very tasteful without having an excess of space-consuming fru-fru. Tasteful decor in just the right doses. Oven/range is wonderful. Love the durable floors too. Nice to have outdoor shower, fenced yard, and grill. So great that we could bring our pet!! That was a critical factor for us on this trip, so Last Cast was a perfect find. Screened porch was a must-have, too, and Last Cast has TWO of them. It's a wonderful place. I love the soothing ocean-water colors throughout. Very restful. Truly a charming and well-designed place to stay on Ocracoke. Thank you to the owners of Last Cast and to Blue Heron Realty for a relaxing and comfortable and much-needed vacation!

Last Cast is the perfect beach house for a small family. We are a couple who enjoyed it with our adult daughter who has been coming to Ocracoke since she was two. The front and back screened porches are lovely and there is a fenced yard for dogs. The furnishings are nice and the kitchen is well-equipped. And the house is located in the center of all of the things we like about the village of Ocracoke.

We loved the house and property.
This house is great! The beds are super-comfortable, everything was very clean, the screened porches are a great place to relax and drink coffee in the morning breeze. Also, the location is great - down a quiet street, but very close to everything. I would 100% stay here again.
