Ocracoke Fig Festival

The Ocracoke Fig Festival is a fun event that celebrates the traditions of the island centered around Ocracoke figs, fig preserves, fig cakes, and fig trees. The festival offers a range of activities for all ages, including exhibits, demonstrations, fig preserve and fig cake contests, porch talks, vendors, live music, and dancing.

If you're interested in participating, you can submit your own cake to the Fig Cake Bake-Off. A panel of judges, including James Beard award winners, will select the winners. Attendees can also enjoy complimentary cake samples after the contest.
